Toll Management (TMS)

STQC’s Toll Management System and Products Certification Scheme certifies TMS software and installed products such as the TMS application, cameras and RFID for NHAI and IHMCL. The customer applies to the respective STQC IT centre with the consent of the STQC certification body, submitting the application form, TMS manual and user and development documents, internal security and functional test reports and charges. On successful assessment the certificate and the ‘Certified Toll System (CTS)’ mark are awarded.

What is Toll Management (TMS)?

Toll management system certification verifies that trusted toll software and products meet the scheme’s security and functional requirements, addressing the risks identified by NHAI and IHMCL. Assessment includes testing of the TMS application, product testing and a check of the provider’s back-end processes. Some applicants go through a selected STQC empanelled test laboratory (SETL).

Documents include a duly filled application form and certification agreement, TMS manual and related user and development documents, internal security and functional test reports, product details (TMS application, camera, RFID) and samples as required and certification charges. The Certification Committee reviews and recommends, and certificate validity and charges are in scheme documents.
