What is Common Criteria (IC3S)?
Common Criteria certification is an independent, internationally recognised evaluation of the security functionality and assurance of an IT product such as firewalls, smart cards, operating systems or encryption modules. The IC3S defines the roles of developers or sponsors, CCTLs and the STQC certification body, and certificates give buyers a metric for comparing security capabilities.
Documents include the application and sponsor details, Security Target or Protection Profile, product documentation and evidence as per the chosen EAL, evaluation contract with a CCTL and the CCTL’s evaluation reports, documents per the IC3S Guidance to Applicants (D06) and fee.
