Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações (ANATEL) certification is an authority which regulates telecommunication equipment. Like INMETRO certification , it is obligatory to obtain the ANATEL certification to set a foot in the Brazilian market.

ANATEL includes three different categories to classify the telecommunication product-

Certification process

ANATEL Certification Process

  1. Step 1

    Application will be duly filled.

  2. Step 2

    A contract will be signed with the Designated Certification Body (OCD) after reviewing the specs to determine the test requirements.

  3. Step 3

    Products will be submitted for testing in an accredited laboratory.

  4. Step 4

    After conducting appropriate testing, the product testing report will be analyzed or reviewed by the OCD.

  5. Step 5

    A Certificate of Conformity will be issued by OCD.

  6. Step 6

    Thereafter, the documentation will be reviewed by the ANATEL to issue the Certificate of Homologation.
