What is APEDA/ RCMC Registration?
APEDA is a statutory authority set up under the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority Act, 1985, under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, to develop and promote exports of scheduled products. These include fresh fruits and vegetables, floriculture, animal products, cereals, organic and processed foods and similar items.
The RCMC (Registration-cum-Membership Certificate) is the certificate showing that an exporter is registered with APEDA and is mandatory for exporting products listed in the Act’s schedule. Registration also qualifies exporters for APEDA’s financial assistance schemes.
