Typical triggers are a change of address, a change in the legal constitution (for example from proprietorship to company), new product categories, higher production capacity, a new nominee and updated contact details. Next, collect the documents that prove the change, such as new address proof, the partnership deed or incorporation certificate and a revised layout. Pay the modification fee quoted by sources (Rs 1,000 for licences and Rs 100 for registrations), submit and wait for approval.
